Integrating Two Social Networks

I am discussing two social networks and new ways that the two maybe integrated. If we could take one social network and integrate it with another social networking platform and vice verse, to give the users a larger community. The sites could have an integration were a user could send a message to someone on one site and it would go directly to the users another social networking site without the user having to log on to the other. Also there could be and integration were a person could update their status on one site and it automatically transfer to their other social networking site. I think this integrating would be a benefit to both sites and the users.
